STAGE 2 MEANINGFUL USE

Final rules for the Stage 2 Meaningful Use (MU) were published in the Federal Register on September 4th, 2012. Eligible Professionals (EPs) must meet (or qualify for an exclusion to) 17 core objectives and 3 of 6 menu set objectives. Cancer reporting is one of the Stage 2 MU Public Health Objectives.

In conformity with the Stage 2 Meaningful Use ONC and CMS Final Rules in achieving public health reporting objectives, the Kansas Cancer Registry hereby declares our agency is ready to accept cancer data from EPs using the format specified in the Implementation Guide .

EPs interested in submitting cancer reports to KCR should email kcr@kumc.edu. Please include your practice name, phone number, address, and EHR vendor in the email. You should also review the KCR on-boarding process.
